What to do if you miss a dose of Reblozyl

Reblozyl contraindications

  • This medicine is not right for everyone. You should not use it if you had an allergic reaction to luspatercept-aamt, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Reblozyl warnings

  • Do not breastfeed while you are using this medicine and for at least 3 months after the last dose.

  • Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.

  • It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. Use an effective form of birth control during treatment with this medicine and for at least 3 months after the last dose.

  • This medicine may cause the following problems:Increased risk of blood clots (including deep vein thrombosis, ischemic strokes, portal vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolus)High blood pressure

  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, high blood pressure, or a history of blood clots. Tell your doctor if you also have had surgery to remove your spleen (splenectomy) or if you smoke.

Reblozyl interactions

  • Some medicines can affect how luspatercept-aamt works. Tell your doctor if you are using birth control pills or hormone replacement medicines.

Reblozyl side effects

Serious Side Effects

  • Pain or swelling in your lower leg (calf)

  • Numbness or weakness in your arm or leg, or on one side of your body, sudden or severe headache, problems with vision, speech, or walking

  • Bone pain

  • Blurred vision, dizziness, nervousness, headache, slow or fast heartbeat

  • Fever, chills, cough, sore throat, stuffy or runny nose, body aches

  • Unusual tiredness or weakness

  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, coughing up blood

  • Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

Less Serious Side Effects

  • Cough

  • Joint or muscle pain

  • Diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain
