Prevident 5000 is a dental caries preventive and sensitive teeth toothpaste. The active ingredients in Prevident 5000 are 1.1% sodium fluoride toothpaste with 5% potassium nitrate. Together with its inactive ingredients (cocamidopropyl betaine, titanium dioxide, etc.), this prescription toothpaste works by helping to reduce painful sensitivity of the teeth to cold, heat, acids, sweets, or contact in adult patients and children 12 years of age and older.
