What is Subvenite?
Subvenite is a prescription drug that is taken with other medications to control seizures in patients with epilepsy, a nervous system disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a severe form of childhood epilepsy. Subvenite is also prescribed to patients with bipolar disorder (manic-depression) to increase the amount of time between mood episodes, such as depression or mania.
The active ingredient in Subvenite, lamotrigine, is an anticonvulsant drug. Epileptic seizures are caused by the repetitive, overexcited, and abnormal firing of nerve cells in the brain. They are often triggered by an external stimulus, such as a perception of a situation.
