What is Temozolomide?

Temozolomide is a generic prescription drug used as both first-line and maintenance therapy for certain types of brain cancers (glioblastoma; and astrocytoma that does not respond to other drugs). Temozolomide is started after tumors have been removed and, in astrocytoma, after treatment with nitrosourea and procarbazine has failed.
