Generally, you can drink alcohol in moderation while taking amoxicillin. Amoxicillin doesn’t cause severe interactions with alcohol, but drinking may worsen side effects like nausea or vomiting and can impair the body’s ability to fight infection. Limiting to one to two drinks or avoiding alcohol is often recommended.
