Will a yeast infection go away on its own?

Mild yeast infections may go away on their own. However, experts note that it’s not recommended to ignore a yeast infection because it is most likely to return if not medically treated, and more persistent or recurrent infections often require over-the-counter or prescription treatment to fully resolve symptoms.
