Akynzeo is administered as a capsule (netupitant and palonosetron) or intravenous injection (fosnetupitant and palonosetron). The capsule is administered one hour before chemotherapy and the intravenous injection 30 minutes before chemotherapy.
Common adverse effects of Akynzeo include but are not limited to, headache, weakness, fatigue, constipation, and indigestion.

Akynzeo in oral capsule form is taken as one capsule by mouth one hour before chemotherapy, along with a corticosteroid medicine called dexamethasone.
If given by intravenous infusion, Akynzeo is given as a one-time dose starting 30 minutes before chemotherapy and infused over 30 minutes. It is also given along with dexamethasone.
