What is Desmopressin Acetate?

Desmopressin Acetate is an “antidiuretic,” that is, it reduces the amount of water eliminated through the urine. Desmopressin Acetate is similar to the hormone, vasopressin, which acts by attaching to certain cells in the kidney and stimulates the kidneys to reabsorb water back into the body.
