How to take Diclopr

  • Your doctor will tell you how much of this medicine to apply and how often. Do not use more medicine or apply it more often than your doctor tells you to.

  • If you are using this medicine without a prescription, follow the instructions on the medicine label.

  • Topical application routeUse this medicine only on your skin. Rinse it off right away if it gets on a cut or scrape. Do not get the medicine in your eyes, nose, or mouth. Do not swallow the medicine.

  • Topical application routeWash your hands with soap and water before and after you use this medicine.

  • Topical application routeApply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area. Rub it in gently.

  • Do not use this medicine more than 4 times each day.

  • Topical application routeDo not cover the treated area with a bandage unless directed by your doctor. Do not cover the skin with a heating pad.

  • Do not use this medicine right after you take a shower or bath.

What to do if you miss a dose of Diclopr

  • Topical application routeApply a dose as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and apply a regular dose. Do not apply extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

Diclopr contraindications

  • You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to menthol, methyl salicylate, or wintergreen.

Diclopr warnings

  • Call your doctor if the pain gets worse, lasts longer than 7 days, or gets better and then comes back.

  • Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to aspirin or another salicylate medicine.

  • Do not use this medicine on a child younger than 12 years of age unless a doctor tells you to.

  • Stop using this medicine if your skin becomes red or irritated.
