Epaned is an FDA-approved prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure. The active ingredient in this drug is enalapril and belongs to a class of drugs known as ACE Inhibitors. It works by relaxing blood vessels to allow blood to flow more easily. Lowering high blood pressure helps to prevent heart attacks, heart failure, strokes, and kidney problems. This medication comes in the form of an oral solution that can be taken with or without food. Carefully measure your dose using a special measuring device. Do not use a household spoon as this may not give you the correct dose. Your appropriate dose is based on your current medical condition and your response to treatment. When being used for children, the dose is also based on weight. Take this medication on a regular basis to get the maximum benefit from it.
