What is Lexiscan?

Lexiscan is a stress agent that works by increasing blood flow in the arteries of the heart during a cardiac stress test, when the patient cannot adequately exercise. The active ingredient in this medication is regadenoson.

Lexiscan is available in the form of an intravenous solution. It is given as an infusion into a vein by a healthcare professional.
