What is Monistat 3 used for?

Miconazole 3 is an antifungal medication that is used to treat yeast infections of the vagina, cutaneous candidiasis, intertrigo, oral thrush, and other conditions as prescribed by your doctor. Miconazole 3 comes in the form of a topical cream. It works by stunting the growth of the fungus that causes the infection, thereby reducing vaginal itching, burning and discharges associated with a vaginal yeast infection. This medication can only be used for vaginal fungal infections.
