What is Ovide?

Ovide is a topical prescription drug used to treat head lice that may infest and irritate your scalp. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as organophosphates. It works by paralyzing and killing lice and their eggs.

Ovide comes in the form of a 0.5% topical lotion for use on the hair and scalp only. Apply this medication on dry hair, using enough to make the scalp and hair wet. Allow your hair to dry, uncovered.
