Rhinase FAQs
How much does Rhinase cost without insurance?
Patients will usually pay $17.30 for Rhinase, but this price may vary. SingleCare discounts are eligible on over-the-counter products prescribed by a doctor. With a prescription and a SingleCare coupon for Rhinase, Rhinase costs $11.70 per 1, 30gm of tube.
How much does Rhinase cost with insurance?
Rhinase is not a prescription drug so it probably will not be covered by health insurance. It may, however, sometimes be covered as a medical device if prescribed by a doctor. Consult with your health insurance agent or representative to determine your coverage. If it is, your copay cost may be higher than what you would pay with a SingleCare Rhinase coupon. Ask your pharmacist to do a price comparison.
Does Medicare cover Rhinase and how much does it cost?
Rhinase is usually not covered by Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage prescription drug plans. There is a remote chance that Medicare Part B may cover Rhinase as a medical device with a prescription, but that depends on the underlying condition. Medicare patients with a prescription for Rhinase can reliably save with a SingleCare Rhinase coupon and pay $11.70 for their prescription.
Is there a generic of Rhinase?
Rhinase is a brand-name moisturizing nasal spray with glycols as the principal ingredients. Generic glycol nasal sprays are not available at this time.
What is Rhinase?
Rhinase is a non-prescription lubricating nasal spray to relieve dryness and irritation in the nose and sinuses. Rhinase is often used or prescribed to provide relief from the side effects of steroid-based nasal sprays.
The principal ingredients in Rhinase are polyethylene glycol and propylene glycol, substances commonly found in moisturizers. Glycols are humectants that work by drawing out moisture from deep within the tissues to relieve dryness on the outer surfaces of the nasal and sinus membranes. The additional moisture reduces swelling, thins out dry mucus, and helps to flush crusts, mucus, and irritants, such as pollen, from the nasal passages.
Rhinase is sprayed once into each nostril every four hours or as needed.
What are the side effects of Rhinase?
Rhinase side effects are very minimal and rarely experienced. Common side effects are limited to temporary site reactions to the ingredients in Rhinase, such as mild burning or watery eyes. These will fade in a few minutes. Allergic reactions are rare.
