What is Ridaura?

Ridaura is a brand-name prescription drug for treating moderate to severe pain due to rheumatoid arthritis. The active ingredient in Ridaura, auranofin, is a gold compound that reduces swelling in the joints.

Ridaura is prescribed to patients who have active rheumatoid arthritis and who are allergic to or have not responded well to treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Ridaura is sometimes prescribed to treat the symptoms of psoriatic arthritis, a type of arthritis in patients with psoriasis.
