Tri-Sprintec is a hormonal oral contraceptive drug used to prevent pregnancy. It is also approved to treat acne. Tri-Sprintec contains norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol. It is a triphasic birth control method that contains three different dose levels of the active pills: 7 gray pills containing 0.18 mg of norgestimate and 0.035 mg of ethinyl estradiol each, 7 light blue pills containing 0.215 mg of norgestimate and 0.035 mg of ethinyl estradiol each, and 7 blue pills containing 0.25 mg of norgestimate and 0.035 mg of ethinyl estradiol.
