Tropicamide comes in the form of a liquid eye drop. Wash hands first before applying drops and to avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch the surface of your eye. If you wear contact lenses, remove them first before using this medication. Your doctor will advise when it is safe for you to put your contacts back in.
If you are using another type of eye medication such as drops or ointments, wait at least five to ten minutes before applying them.
