What is Ultrasal-Er?
Ultrasal-Er is a prescription topical drug with extended-release salicylic acid that helps remove common and plantar warts. Ultrasal-Er includes virucidal (virus-killing) ingredients to help prevent infection.
Salicylic acid is classified as a keratolytic, a type of drug which thins the skin and makes it easier to fall off or be rubbed off.
Ultrasal-Er is applied as a liquid in a thin layer over the affected area. It will form into a long-lasting film in a few seconds. A second layer should then be applied. Ultrasal-Er will release salicylic acid on to the outer layer of the wart continuously for 24 hours.
What are the side effects of Ultrasal-Er?
