How much does Abrysvo cost without insurance?

For individuals without insurance, the average retail price for Abrysvo is $566.80 for 1, 120mcg/0.5ml solution reconstituted. Prices may vary depending on the pharmacy. However, with a SingleCare Abrysvo coupon, the price can be significantly reduced to $320.99 for 1, 120mcg/0.5ml solution reconstituted.

How much does Abrysvo cost with insurance?

In many cases, Abrysvo is covered by insurance plans free of charge. The price of Abrysvo with insurance may vary based on your insurance company and the plan’s specifics. Although insurance companies can often provide cost relief, using a SingleCare discount card or coupon may result in more savings on the drug’s cash price. Compare prices before making a purchase.

Does Medicare cover Abrysvo and how much does it cost?

Medicare coverage for Abrysvo varies by plan. Abrysvo is generally covered by Medicare Part D prescription drug plans. However, people with Medicare Advantage plans may have to pay out of pocket. Refer to your plan's information to determine coverage. Without Medicare, you can always use the SingleCare Abrysvo coupon, which may sometimes provide a more favorable rate than Medicare, dropping the price to $320.99 for 1, 120mcg/0.5ml solution reconstituted.

Is there a generic of Abrysvo?

Currently, the brand name Abrysvo is manufactured by Pfizer. There is currently no generic version of Abrysvo.

What is Abrysvo?

Abrysvo is a new vaccine designed for the prevention of lower respiratory tract disease caused by RSV. RSV has historically been a significant concern for babies, infants, and older adults, especially during the winter season, which may encompass the RSV and flu season.

Children, especially infants born from a preterm pregnancy and toddlers with a weakened immune system, are at a higher risk of developing severe RSV complications. In addition, older adults with weakened immune systems may also be at high risk.

The vaccine works by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies against RSV. Once these antibodies are present, they can recognize and fight off the virus. As a result, if the individual is exposed to RSV, their immune system can effectively combat it.

What doses of Abrysvo are available?

Abrysvo is available as a solution for injection containing 0.5 mL. It is administered as a single dose. Consult a healthcare provider for more information on vaccine schedules, especially if the individual is eligible for other vaccinations.

What are the side effects of Abrysvo?

Like all vaccines and medications, Abrysvo has potential side effects. Common ones include:

  • Fatigue

  • Headache

  • Nausea

  • Muscle aches

  • Pain or soreness at the injection site

For pregnant people, there's a potential risk of preterm birth with the use of Abrysvo before 32 weeks of gestation. As such, it's recommended to administer Abrysvo between 32 and 36 weeks of gestational age to reduce this risk.

There is also the potential for more severe side effects, including allergic reactions. Signs of an allergic reaction may include swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, and a severe rash. If you or someone you know experiences these or any other unusual symptoms after receiving the vaccine, seek medical attention immediately.

Always consult a healthcare provider for a comprehensive list of side effects and potential precautions.

Is Arexvy better than Abrysvo?

Both Arexvy and Abrysvo are new vaccines approved by the FDA for protecting against RSV. There are no head-to-head trials comparing the two vaccines. However, both shots have been found to be effective in their respective clinical trials. Therefore, a healthcare provider may recommend one or the other based on availability or other concerns.

Do you need a prescription for Abrysvo?

Whether you need a prescription for Abrysvo will depend on the state you live in. Some states may require a prescription for the Abrysvo vaccine. In others, you can get the vaccine straight from the pharmacy. Contact your pharmacist or healthcare provider to determine whether a prescription is necessary before obtaining this vaccine.
