What is Adult Acnomel?
Adult Acnomel is a Resorcinol and Sulfur combination used to treat adult acne pimples, blemishes, improve skin texture affected by rosacea, and prevent new pimples. Resorcinol works by breaking down scaly, rough, or hardened skin. Sulfur helps to dry out the surface of your skin to help absorb excess oil that may cause acne breakouts. It also dries out dead skin cells which help to unblock your pores. Inactive ingredients in this medication include bentonite, propylene glycol, fragrance, iron oxide, benzoyl peroxide, octoxynol-9, potassium hydroxide, titanium dioxide, and carbopol.
This acne treatment is available as a topical acne cream meant for external use on the skin only. Before using Adult Acnomel, wash and dry the affected areas thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of Adult Acnomel to cover the entire affected area. This medication can be used up to three times daily. However, to avoid bothersome dryness, it is recommended that Adult Acnomel be used once daily and then gradually increased over time. Stop use and ask a doctor if excessive skin irritation or sensitivity develops or increases.
Avoid getting this acne medication in your eyes, nose, mouth, or ears. If it does get into any of these areas, wash thoroughly with water right away. Do not apply Adult Acnomel to broken skin or on large areas of the body. Read and follow the instructions provided on the product packaging before you start using this medication. If you are still uncertain about how to use this medication then talk to your doctor or pharmacist for additional information. This medication is best stored at room temperature. Talk to your doctor before using Adult Acnomel with other spot treatment acne medications, lotions, or personal care products.
