This medicine is not right for everyone. You should not use it if you had an allergic reaction to darbepoetin alfa, albumin, or polysorbate 80, if you had pure red cell aplasia after receiving darbepoetin alfa or similar medicines, or if you have high blood pressure that is not controlled.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, heart disease, heart failure, a blood disorder, cancer, any infection, bleeding, or a history of blood clots, heart attack, stroke, or seizures. Also tell your doctor if you have an allergy to latex or if you are scheduled for any type of surgery.
