How to take Cabergoline

  • Take your medicine as directed. Your dose may need to be changed several times to find what works best for you.

What to do if you miss a dose of Cabergoline

Cabergoline contraindications

  • This medicine is not right for everyone. Do not use it if you had an allergic reaction to cabergoline or to any ergot medicine. Do not use it if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, a history of heart problems (such as heart valve disease), or fibrotic disorder (scarring) of the heart, lungs, or stomach.

  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you think you might become pregnant while you are using this medicine.

  • Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, breathing or lung problems, heart disease, or high blood pressure.

  • Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.

  • Lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting

  • Numbness, tingling, or burning pain in your hands, arms, legs, or feet

  • Severe stomach pain or tenderness

  • Swelling in your face, hands, ankles, lower legs, or feet

  • Unusual sleepiness, drowsiness, or weakness

  • Chest pain or tightness, cough, trouble breathing

  • Unusual sleepiness, drowsiness, or weakness

  • Unusual changes in behavior

  • Change in how much or how often you urinate

  • Swelling in your face, hands, ankles, lower legs, or feet

  • Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

  • Blood in your urine, lower back pain, side pain, or sharp back pain just below the ribs

  • Severe stomach pain or tenderness

  • Fast, slow, pounding, or uneven heartbeat

  • Nausea, vomiting, constipation

  • Headache
