What is Elimite?

Elimite is a prescription topical cream that treats scabies (seven-year itch), an infestation of the skin Sarcoptes scabies, or scabies mites, a very tiny animal similar to spiders and scorpions. The female scabies mites burrow into the skin to lay eggs, which then hatch and feed off skin cells in their larval stage.
