What is Lidocaine?
Lidocaine is a prescription medication that is applied to the skin to stop itching and pain from certain skin conditions or injuries like scrapes, minor burns, eczema, insect bites, etc. It also treats minor discomfort and itching caused by hemorrhoids and certain other problems of the genital or anal region such as anal fissures, itching around the vagina or rectum.
