What is Medi meclizine used for?

Dramamine Less Drowsy is an antihistamine used to treat and prevent nausea, vomiting, queasiness and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It may also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your doctor. It causes less drowsiness and lasts up to 24 hours. It is indicated for use in adults and children 12 years and older. This medication is available as a tablet.

How to take Medi meclizine

  • Motion sickness: Take this medicine at least 1 hour before travel if you are using it to prevent motion sickness. One dose of this medicine should prevent motion sickness for 24 hours.

  • Missed dose: Take a dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and take a regular dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up for a missed dose. If you use this medicine for motion sickness, take it only as needed.

  • Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.

  • Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to use. Do not use more than directed.

  • Chewable tablet: Chew or crush the tablet completely before swallowing. Do not swallow chewable tablets whole.

  • Tablet: Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush, chew, or break it.

  • This medicine is usually taken only as needed. If you are taking meclizine regularly, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then to take the medicine and skip the missed dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.
