What is Sumaxin?
Sumaxin is a brand-name prescription drug that comes as cleansing pads soaking in a solution of the active ingredient, sodium sulfacetamide. Sumaxin is an antibacterial medication applied topically to treat acne, facial redness (rosacea), and scaling inflammation of the skin (seborrheic dermatitis) that are caused by bacterial infections. Once absorbed by the skin, Sumaxin prevents bacterial growth and relieves or reverses acne, rosacea, or dermatitis.
