What is Vasculera?
Vasculera is a prescription medical food product used to support the management of hemorrhoids and chronic venous insufficiency. Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a condition that develops when the walls or valves in the veins lose the ability to push blood back to the heart. Blood pools in the veins, causing swelling and blood clots. Chronic venous insufficiency may progress into chronic venous disease (CVD) which can lead to varicose veins, spider veins, venous ulcers, swelling in the legs, and blood clotting in the veins.
Vasculera contains purified diosmin glycoside, a flavonoid found in the peels of citrus fruits. It also contains alkaline granules in the form of alka-4 complex. Diosmin is classified as a phlebotonic, which is a small class of drugs that increases the muscle tone in veins. The diosmin in Vasculera is combined with alka-4 complex to create diosmiplex.
Chronic venous insufficiency and the resulting high blood pressure in the veins often causes blood acidosis – higher than normal acid in the blood. The alkali granules in Vasculera are intended to increase the pH of the blood to normal levels.
Vasculera is taken as a tablet once per day or as directed by a physician.
What are the side effects of Vasculera?
The most common side effects of Vasculera may include an upset stomach, headache, leg cramps, swelling in the limbs, and a mild rash. Allergic reactions are possible with Vasculera. Seek medical attention if you experience hives, trouble breathing, or swelling of the face, mouth, or tongue.
This is not a complete list of side effects. Consult a healthcare provider for other possible side effects, drug interactions, warnings, and precautions associated with Vasculera.
