Does creatine help you lose weight?

Generally, creatine does not help you lose weight. This is because the only demonstrated effect on body weight is weight gain, which healthcare professionals believe is due to increased skeletal muscle mass or water retention in muscle cells rather than fat loss, and neither effect reflects weight loss.
