What is Ninjacof?
Ninjacof is an over-the-counter brand-name combination drug that temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and lung irritation. Ninjacof combines an antihistamine (pyrilamine or mepyramine) with a cough suppressant (chlophedianol).
Chlophedianol works directly on the brain to suppress the cough reflex. Pyrilamine (or mepyramine) is an antihistamine. It works by blocking the chemicals that produce many cold and allergy symptoms such as swelling, runny nose, congestion, sneezing, and itching.
Ninjacof is also the brand name of a family of cold and allergy symptom-relief products that combine pyrilamine with other drugs including decongestants and acetaminophen. Ninjacof XG is an over-the-counter cough suppressant with codeine, which works in much the same way as chlophedianol.
