Powering savings for SingleCare clients

In the SingleCare Spotlight series, we highlight the people who make SingleCare possible. Whether they work to secure the best savings possible with our partner pharmacies or help send you cards through the mail, every employee at our company is focused on helping you save money on prescription medication.

When I was getting my Master’s of Business Administration in health care, one of my classmates told me about an opportunity to join the SingleCare team as part of the call center. I had previously worked in physical therapy offices and hospitals, and I wanted to see what the pharmaceutical side had to offer.

I started in the customer service side of the company and have now moved into account management. In other words, for about a year, I worked with the people who use SingleCare to save. Now, I work with the companies who want to share SingleCare coupons with their clientele. For example, I work with Brittany on WebMdRx. We create custom savings cards, and power the discounts their customers receive when they go to the pharmacy counter. We also partner with coupon sites to make it easy for people who already love saving (and are budget-conscious) to take advantage of our programs.

It’s an interesting job to have, because I never knew about pharmacy savings cards before working at SingleCare. I’ve always been fortunate enough to have insurance that made my prescriptions affordable—but I have a relative with a chronic condition. He needs daily medication, so I told him about our discounts. Now, he uses the card at his local CVS all the time. My mom has a SingleCare card, and loves to tell people that her daughter works there when she passes a billboard or sees our commercial. Working here has actually changed my life a lot, and the lives of the people in my community.

I love the people I work with. I have to say everybody wants to help in any way they can—they’re very hands on, very welcoming, and accommodating. And I think that’s great. I think that what we’re doing as a company—helping people gain better access to their Rx—is phenomenal.
