Cidofovir should not be injected into the eyes. Permanent loss of vision may occur. Your doctor will also instruct you to take probenecid by mouth before and after you use Cidofovir. Drink lots of fluids to prevent kidney problems. This is especially important if you are vomiting or have diarrhea. If you are self-treating at home, learn all preparation and usage instructions from your healthcare professional. Check this product visually for discoloration and particles before use. If either is present, do not use this liquid.
