Eucrisa is a steroid-free prescription ointment that relieves mild to moderate eczema (atopic dermatitis) in adults and children as young as 3 months old. Doses are applied as a thin layer over the affected skin twice daily. Although available only with a prescription, Eucrisa has minimal side effects and no known drug interactions.

Eucrisa is a nonsteroidal topical medication that treats mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema).

What are common Eucrisa doses?

  • For atopic dermatitis in adults and children 3 months of age and older: Spread a thin layer on the affected skin twice daily; when symptoms improve, once-daily doses can be used

How to take Eucrisa

  • Take this medication as instructed.

  • Please read the patient information sheet before using this medicine.

  • Use only on the skin. Do not get the ointment in the eyes, mouth, or vagina.

  • Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected area twice daily.

  • Wash your hands immediately after applying a dose.

  • Store Eucrisa at room temperature. Keep the tube tightly closed.

What to do if you miss a dose of Eucrisa

Eucrisa contraindications

  • Do not use Eucrisa if you have had an allergic reaction to crisaborole.

Eucrisa warnings

  • Tell any doctor or other healthcare provider who treats you that you are using Eucrisa. 

  • Tell the prescriber if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to breastfeed.

  • Do not use this medicine to treat a skin problem your doctor has not examined.

  • Eucrisa has no known drug interactions.

Serious side effects

Talk to a doctor if you notice any signs or symptoms of a possible serious side effect, including:

  • Allergic reaction: Hives, itching, skin redness, trouble breathing, throat tightness, chest tightness, lightheadedness, swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, throat, or eyelids

Less serious side effects

  • Application site pain, burning, stinging, or irritation
