What is Prumyx?
Prumyx is a non-steroidal prescription cream that treats skin conditions, such as allergic reactions, that cause itching, burning, and pain. Prumyx is also used to relieve burns from radiation therapy.
The active ingredients in Prumyx are moisturizers that help create a moist environment in the outer layers of the skin, which helps the healing process. All of these ingredients are commonly found in over-the-counter moisturizers and skin softeners. Prumyx also includes a moisturizer, squalane, that also has anti-inflammatory properties to help reduce the swelling that causes pain, burning, or redness.
Prumyx is applied as a cream to the affected areas 2 to 3 times daily. For radiation burns, Prumyx is applied 4 hours after radiation treatment.

Some but not all common side effects of Prumyx are primarily allergic reactions to the active or inactive ingredients and include skin swelling, redness, itching, burning, or irritation. Discontinue use of Prumyx when you notice any sign of an allergic reaction.
