What is Climara?

Climara is a brand-name skin patch that contains a female hormone known as estradiol. These patches are commonly used to treat symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, and vaginal dryness, burning, and irritation. These symptoms are caused as the body produces less and less estrogen as a woman ages. Climara is also used to treat women with low estrogen levels or those who have had their ovaries removed.
